“First of all, Shalom Ministries gave us the opportunity to grow spiritually and to serve the Lord
among vulnerable groups including wounded women who had lost their spouses during the
genocide and it was too early. We learned how to deal with such people even if we were
newlyweds.
Sporadically, God availed some couple for long time. We were the only couple in the group of
widows. We faced a number of discouragement but we stood firm. We discovered potentials that
women have even when they are in weak position as widows.”
